Born in Kenya, Heather moved to the US when she was five years old. As a child, her claim to fame was winning the school spelling bee at age 11. She lived most of her life in Southern California, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s in human resources. In 2008, a life/work adventure took her to Ireland and Germany, before finally settling in the Netherlands in 2012. After having worked for many years in sales & marketing, recruitment, human resources and project management, Heather reinvented herself and started a career in writing and editing. Her experience includes working on journalistic publications, corporate communications materials, proposals, recruitment materials and academic papers. Outside of work she enjoys hanging out with her two kids, a good glass of wine and a good book.
